— Under 18 years of age
— Pregnant and lactating women
— Having had botox within the 2 weeks prior to the appointment
— Eye infection (i.e. pink eye)
— Client who has conflicting brow vision
— Uncontrolled diabetes
— Glaucoma
— Skin diseases: psoriasis, eczema and undiagnosed rashes or blisters on the site to be treated
— Tendency towards keloids or scarring
— Extremely oily or problematic skin
— Allergies to make-up or inks
— Individuals with easily triggered post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation
— Transmittable blood conditions like HIV or Hepatitis
— Active skin cancer in the area to be tattooed
— Hemophilias
— Individuals with healing disorders, on blood thinners (like Aspirin), with uncontrolled high blood pressure or those who had mitral valve disorder
— Have a pacemaker or major heart problems
— Those on any skin medication such as Roaccutane or steroids which make the skin thin and oversensitive
— Epilepsy
— Had organ transplant
— Generally not feeling well (cold, flu)

Intake and Consent Form

Pre-care instructions MUST BE STRICTLY FOLLOWED to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessing bleeding and sensitivity during the procedure will dilute and expel the pigment color and lead to poor results.

A week before
If you are getting your brows waxed, please make sure to do it a week before your appointment.

72 hours prior
DO NOT TAKE Advil or other blood thinners such as Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Niacin, fish oils or Vitamin E 72 72 hours prior to your appointment.

24 hours prior
Do NOT consume alcoholic beverages within 24 hours before your appointment.

On the day of your appointment
— No caffeine on the day of procedure.
— Avoid exercise 2 hours before the procedure.
— Wear comfortable clothing as you will be lying down for a couple hours.
— If you'd like, come in with your brows drawn in. It will help me determine what shape/color you like.
— Eat and drink something before you come in.
— Use the restroom right before the procedure, you will most likely not be able to go in the middle of the procedure.

* Having this service performed during the menstrual cycle may possibly increase discomfort for some women during the procedure.

* If you are a frequent smoker or tan frequently, the topical anesthetics used during the treatment may not last as long and also can lead to poor retention and poor lasting results.

Day of the procedure
After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area is normal. Clients describe the area feeling similar to a light sunburn. Immediately after the procedure, clients can take Tylenol but not aspirin or ibuprofen.

Gently blot the brows with a clean tissue to prevent the lymph fluid from accumulating on the brows.
— First 20 minutes, blot every often (approximately every 2 minutes);
— The rest of day 1, blot every 30-60 minutes.
— Clean your brows with a chlorhexidine solution/sterile water 2—3 times (only the 1st day)

Days 1 — 5

— DO NOT get eyebrows wet for 3 days. You can take a body shower but preferably not a full shower until day 4. Blot brows dry after any exposure to humidity or sweat.

— If your brows feel really dry on the 5th day, you may apply a little bit of Vaseline around the brow area.

Day 1 — until the brows are completely flaked off (first 10 — 14 days)

— Apply thin layer of ointment 2x a day (more if very dry skin) until the scabbing has completely flaked off. Always blot afterwards so that brows can breathe.

— Keep the tattooed area clean during the healing process.
— Sleep on a clean pillowcase.
— Do not touch brows with unwashed hands or let anyone else touch them.
— DO NOT pick or scratch at the dry skin/flakiness; let the skin fall off naturally. Picking can cause scarring and loss of pigment.
— Do not apply make-up to the tattooed area for the first week. Chemicals of any kind may interfere with the healing and color of your tattoo.
— No sweating, saunas, steam rooms, lakes/rivers/oceans, hot tubs, extremely hot showers, pools, sleeping on your face, direct sunlight, tanning beds.
— Glycolic acid and face peel products must be kept away from the tattooed area.
— After tattoo has flaked off and moving forward, use SPF on your brows to keep them from fading. Exposure to the sun over time can cause fading or discoloration of the pigment once completely healed.
— After scabs fall off, the tattooed area may seem lighter — this is because a thin layer of protective skin forms over the treated area. Color will come back at the 3-4 week mark.

Once the treated area is completely healed, any changes or additions that need to be made can be done at your follow-up appointment 6-8 weeks after the initial appointment.

All appointments require a deposit which is non-refundable and non-transferable. The deposit is applied to the total cost due at the time of service.

Please give at least 48 hours of notice to reschedule or cancel an appointment. If you choose to cancel, your deposit will be non-refundable and non-transferable.

Clients who are 15 minutes or more late are subject to losing their appointment spot and forfeiting their deposit.
